This presentation about quitting smoking can be used by educators both health and not health-based. This presentation was provided to the a group of pharmacists at a HMO health plan here in Madison, Wisconsin. Although this presentation doesn’t include the new stop smoking drug called Chantix (varenicline), all of the underlying concepts in trying to get people to stop smoking remains unchanged.

I along with a colleague presented this information in Washington, DC at a conference devoted to Medicare Part D. Two challenges that Medicare part D faces is finding which drug formulary is the most cost-effective and how effective is the mandated medication therapy management program.
